QWKDoor 1.0
=====================================================================
Long Description:
QWKDoor is a program that generates QWK mail bundles. It is used on a BBS
to let the users download all unread messages so that they can read them
without having to worry about the phonebill. The users can use programs
such as AmiQWK and Q-Blue (Amiga) or BlueWave (MS-DOS) to comfortably read
the mail and write replies that are uploaded to the BBS later.
QWKDoor uses the UMS messagebase. If your BBS program doesn't support UMS,
you will have to have two messagebases or get another QWK-door.
Features of QWKDoor:
o QWKDoor can split large messages into messages with a maximum number
of lines that can be configured by the sysop and you can set a maximum
number of messages in each bundle. These features were added because
some readers can't handle long messages and/or too large bundles.
o QWKDoor supports different charsets
o Message size, number of charsets and number of archives are only
limited by the amount of free memory.
o Replies in one area can be automatically moved to an other area.
o QWKDoor can be configured not to allow replies in certain areas
o For each area there are different security levels for reading and
writing messages.
o You can allow a single user to read/write in an area that he normally
wouldn't be able to read. You can also prevent a user from reading
in an area, for example if he has been thrown out by the moderator.
o You can add and drop areas from the offline reader if it supports it.
o QWKDoor handles mail to other systems without any problems.
o QWKDoor works when running a multi-line BBS
o Hello, News and Goodbye files supported
o QWKDoor can use a standard @{".newsrc" link g_newsrc} file
QWKDoor has been released as FreeWare.
